Beginning today, Monday, April 13th, facial coverings will be mandatory for all persons entering Harrington Hundreds, The Supermart Ltd, Somers Supermart in St. George’s, and The Lindo’s Group of stores. Facial coverings must completely cover both mouth and nose. This is in the interest of staff and customer safety. We appreciate your understanding in these circumstances.
The Lindo’s family would like to commend and thank our hardworking employees during this uncertain and challenging time.
Our staff is committed to providing our customers with excellent service and are working tirelessly to ensure the community has the supplies and essentials they need right now while taking every measure to protect your health.
The work our team is doing is important to all, and we ask that if you are ill, you stay home to keep our workers, and their families, safe and healthy.
We also wish to thank our distributors, who make it possible to keep our shelves and warehouse stocked, and our customers, for their continuing loyalty and patronage.
Now that there are confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bermuda, we are stepping up some of our policies and protections for team members and customers and we wanted to take the time to share these with you.
Store Hours and policies
Going forward, Lindo’s stores will be open 8:00 am until 7:00 pm Monday-Saturday and will be allowing only 50 shoppers into the store at a time, operating a ‘one in, one out’ policy. We ask that our customers move as quickly and efficiently through the store, showing compassion for other members of the public waiting to get in.
Grocery store visits are according to your surname. A-F is on Monday and Thursday. G-Q is Tuesday and Friday. R-Z is Wednesday and Saturday.
We will be working with a local security company, Bermuda Security Agency, to enforce these restrictions. While queuing and in the store, customers are asked to maintain a distance of at least six feet from each other in order to comply with social distancing measures.
The Bermuda Government has advised: “Where practical, only one household member should travel for groceries [this must not be a person who is subject to a 14-day self-quarantine or who is in isolation]. Single parents of young children may take their children with them. Other than this scenario, we strongly discourage children from attending grocery stores, please.
For Your Safety & Ours
Our team members have been issued gloves and face masks to be used at their discretion in addition to the hand sanitizer bottles and wipes they have already been issued. Cleaning procedures have been stepped up.
To further ensure your safety and our team members, the public is advised that facial coverings (masks) will be mandatory for all persons entering any Lindo’s store. Facial coverings must completely cover both mouth and nose.
We urge all shoppers to practice basic preventative measures by regularly and thoroughly cleaning your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water, and to especially do so before entering our stores.
Alternative Shopping
We strongly encourage members of the public to exercise compassion and restraint during this challenging time. We also urge you to consider shopping online at order.lindos.bm or with DropIt.bm.
We thank you all for your loyal and continuing patronage. We will continue to update you on developments as they happen.
