Rice was first planted in South Carolina in the late 1600s and soon there were over 100 major rice plantations in the region. Thomas Jefferson travelled to the Carolinas to see what the fuss was about and before long became Carolina rice’s biggest fan.
Present-day exponents of Carolina rice say that the secret to their success is its heightened aromatic quality and flavour due to the ideal conditions of the land.
We’ve been using Carolina Rice for generations. Next time you have peas and rice, chances are it was made with Carolina.

Healthy: naturally sodium free • Fat free • Kosher

- Add steamed vegetables like carrots, zucchini, and pearl onions. Top with Parmesan cheese and thyme for a healthy, tasty side dish.
- A combination of cilantro, raisins and orange zest are flavorful additions to hot cooked, buttered rice.
