Farmer Direct Organic is an American co-op comprising farmers, processors, and distributors of grains and pulses deemed organic through very strict certification.
Farmers started up when most of the certified organic products consumed in the U.S. were imported, much to their chagrin. The conflict started with unfair pricing and ended with unverifiable claims of organic status, a taboo in the organics community. Suffice it to say that Farmer Direct is serious about organics!
