Farmer Direct Organic is an American co-op comprising farmers, processors, and distributors of grains and pulses deemed organic through very strict certification.
Farmer Direct started up when most of the certified organic products consumed in the U S were imported, much to their chagrin. The conflict started with inequitable pricing and ended with bogus claims of organic status, undermining the integrity of the organics community. Suffice it to say that Farmers is serious about organics!
