Current COVID-19 Policy at Lindo’s stores

Lindo’s store hours are currently from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Saturday.

Customers are reminded that they must wear masks and practice social distancing.

Lindos will continue to offer the three discount days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through DECEMBER 2021.

Shop with reusable bags to help the environment

Starting on November 5th, 2019, Lindo’s Group of Companies, along with Harrington Hundreds Grocery and The Supermart, will begin charging 10 cents for plastic and store supplied bags.

Why? To reduce the use of plastic and other single-use bags littering our environment.

Plastic bags are especially harmful. They kill fish, turtles, birds and other animals that mistake plastic for food.

Reusable bags made from washable fabric can be cleaned and are long-lasting.

Each reusable bag can replace thousands of plastic bags.

All proceeds will be directed towards charity.

Rubber Duck Derby 2019

Now in its 22nd year, the Friends of Hospice Rubber Duck Derby, generously sponsored by Lindo’s Group of Companies, will be held – rain, blow, or shine – at Ordnance Island and King’s Square in the Historic Town of St. George on Sunday, June 23rd from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

This year’s event will again focus on the family with Kiddie Land, a fantastic line-up of live entertainment and, of course, the main attraction, the Rubber Duck Races. Ducks are adopted and then raced in several different categories with winners receiving fantastic prizes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us for what has become a much-anticipated, well-attended, family-friendly community event providing visitors and residents with the opportunity to enjoy the duck races and explore Bermuda’s beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site.

Lindo’s to Lindo’s Race Cancelled

(Hamilton, Bermuda – March 5, 2018) – Lindo’s Group of Companies today announces that the Lindo’s to Lindo’s race, previously rescheduled for May 13, has been cancelled.

The decision to cancel the 2018 Lindo’s to Lindo’s, originally due to take place on March 4, was made following severe weather and feedback from entrants about the new May 13 date. Lindo’s decided against holding it on a weekend with another sporting event so as not to detract from any other charitable fundraising.

Lindo’s will be holding a symbolic number, goodie bag and tee-shirt pick up on Saturday, March 10 between 10am and 12:30pm at National Stadium Cricket Pavilion for all of those who have registered for the event.

Zach Moniz, Lindo’s Family Foods Manager, said: “We are very disappointed to have to cancel the 2018 Lindo’s to Lindo’s. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a new date that suited our entrants and which didn’t clash with another charitable event.”

“We hope that everyone registered for the event will come to the symbolic number pick-up and collect their goody bags and t-shirts in lieu of requesting a refund. The Bermuda Diabetes Association faces a difficult fight and every dollar counts. We also hope that those who were planning to take part will try to find the time to undertake the four-mile walk or run in a time and place of their choosing.”

The event was designed to encourage the public to get moving and to raise funds for the Bermuda Diabetes Association’s education programmes and the renovation of a building purchased to house a fully comprehensive Diabetes Resource Centre.
