This month we’re featuring yet another traditional food item that has been enhanced by the organic approach: Melba Toast Rounds from Devonsheer, an organic food company who specialize in this venerable item. Back in 1897, Dame Nellie Melba a famous Australian opera singer had fallen ill and melba rounds were administered by chef and fan Auguste Escofier, who, incidentally also created the Peach Melba — now, that’s pretty venerable!
Fast forward from the gay nineties to the present and we can enjoy Devonsheer Organic Garlic and Plain Melba Rounds.
